Born in Medellin, Colombia; raised in both Medellin and the US; and educated in the US (B.S. Engineering Physics and Masters of Business Administration) and France (Diplome d’Ingenieurs in Aerospace Engineering); I have slowly and increasingly striven to become a globally conscious citizen. After six years working to create, promote, and improve international and study abroad programs in more than 20 countries worldwide for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, I have decided to embark on a long journey through Latin America with two of my best friends, Pablo and Nancy, with the primary objectives of discovering the continent and improve the lives of its people through humanitarian projects along the way. I will also continue my work supporting and promoting international programs for Embry-Riddle as well representing it throughout my travels.
My interests are numerous including a never ending and ever strengthening passion for travel and meeting – and sharing with – new people along the way. Intercultural exchange is, in my opinion, one of the most rewarding experiences one can have in life and I have made a point of learning as much as possible from those I come in contact with during my own travels and activities. Humor, music and dancing are essential components in my life and I deeply enjoy photography whether it be professional, random, and of course, my own. On the athletic side, I’ve enjoyed pretty much every sport I’ve ever played particularly cycling, soccer, tennis, and swimming. Finally, I love reading and feel a constant need to learn new things – and here I’ll spare you from the list of preferred topics (they are vast).
